Processes & New Technologies
Sensory properties, texture and stability result from the interaction between formulation and process. Development considers existing equipment as well as new manufacturing approaches. For plant proteins and extruded products, I contribute practical experience in development and industrial implementation.
Fermentation projects, including precision fermentation, are planned and managed with specialist partners. Product objectives, appropriate development work, regulatory status and the requirements for subsequent manufacturing are considered together.
Trials, Shelf Life & Scale-up
Plan and support samples, laboratory, pilot and production trials; assess the results against the development objectives
Transfer formulations and process parameters to the relevant equipment and batch sizes; assess repeatability and production performance
Coordinate shelf-life, stability and required microbiological testing with the manufacturing site and specialist partners
Document formulation versions, specifications, manufacturing instructions and outstanding checks for subsequent implementation
